http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Podcasting
This website gives a description of what podcasting is and where the term comes from. This site is interesting because it is Wikipedia. In Wiki any person with an account can go in and modify the description of the term. This is beneficial to the public because it allows many people to interpret the definition in their own terms and then it will hopefully make sense to more people. This website also gives a description of what podcasting is. This website also teaches students how to create their own podcasts. Relating to education, creating a podcast could be beneficial to students to present presentations to a class or post their findings of a research project online for other students to view. Posting something like this could make a student feel like he or she has accomplished something. (STANDARDS: Technology Research Tools, Technology Communication, Technology Productivity Tools)

I really liked the "Digital Media" site because it was very descriptive and that is something I need because I, unfortunately, do not have any experience using podcasts. I felt that this was very informational, and I feel that it is easy enough for a student to navigate through and understand. This will be a great resource for students to use in the classroom, and it is also a great resource to possibly allow parents to use if they, too, are unfamiliar with podcasts.
Yes, Stacey and Ashley - these are good resources :)))
The second one is interesting--it lists and compares diverse software for podcasting.
There is the one I found online--very interesting. I'll introduce it or have you guys introduce it--this is so cool: you can record your voices on the website and embed the audio mini player in your blog or your website for free and easy to regester. (I would recommend you use the same account name or email address, because it was bought by google as well. You can easily setup the link between the audio files you record and the blogs)
